Well, I finished Harry Potter last night! It was every bit as good as the first four. Now I'm antsy for J.K. Rowling to finish (start?) the next one. Hopefully, the wait won't be as long as the last one.

Nathan talks about "Ah Pottah" often. "Mommy wead!" He must know that it's special, because he let me read some while he nursed. He actually saw the second movie in the theater last Thanksgiving. I don't think I would let him watch it now. He notices more now, and worries more about people getting hurt.

I had the best time teaching in Bardstown this week! I met a Suzuki teacher, Cathy Mejia, at Annual Conference, and she invited me to teach the viola students at their camp. 28 kids from Costa Rica came to participate in their camp. Three viola students came from Costa Rica, and I saw them over two days. I had never taught with a translator before!

Nathan went with me, and stayed in the room with me while I taught on the first day. Cathy translated and entertained Nathan. She gave him a practice viola (box with ruler) so he could play along. He has one at home, but tired of it months ago. But the new one was still fun. When the kids played together as a group, Nathan shouldered his way in. He held his box up and bounced away while they played!

I'm all fired up to recruit some students. I need some former students to come up and play a concert or two. I'm convinced that people need to SEE before they'll sign up. Getting ready to make some calls. . .
